Description

The BCA150 provides up to 150 watts of precision charging power to up to two battery banks at 12 or 24 volts DC. This unit features universal input voltage, accepting any conventional source of AC power from 85 to 265 volts AC at 50 or 60Hz. Power factor correction technology ensures the most efficient use of this power. The unit can be easily configured for charging standard or deep cycle lead-acid, VRLA, or Gel cell type batteries through use of the output voltage adjust (Over a range of the standard output voltage ±1.0V). User-selectable two-stage or three-stage charging profiles and temperature compensation allow optimum charging of all battery types. Additionally, user-initiated cell equalization and low ripple charging profiles protect and maintain expensive battery systems greatly increase their lifetime usage. Extra input and output filtering reduce EMI to extremely low levels to prevent interference with sensitive communications equipment. Reliability features include an input fuse, thermal shutdown, current limiting, reverse battery hookup protection, and output short circuit shutdown with automatic recovery.
